LONDON WOOL SALES. Tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile} Agency Co., Ltd., have received tho following cablegram from their London House : The sales closed with good competition, 134,000 bales sold, 46,000 bales taken for the Continent, and 2000 bales taken for America, 41,000 bales were held over. Average current London value of the undermentioned descriptions of New Zealand greasy wool: —Good merino, 13$ d; medium merino, 11 Jd; inferior merino, 9Jd ; fine crossbred, 12£ d; medium crossbred, 10} d; coarse crossbred, 40's, 9£d; ?6's 9d. Tallow. —We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Good mutton, 31s 9d per cwt; good beef, 32s 3d ; mixed, 30s. The market is dull. Wheat. —Sold a New Zealand parcel at 32s l£d, c.i.f. The market is firm, and crop reports aro favourable. Market quiet, but steady. The market prospects India, not likely- to improve at ptesent.
