DR MAWSON'S EXPEDITION DEPARTURE OF THE ADRORA. (Received Last Night, 9.55 o'clock.) LONDON, July 28. Dr. Mawson's expedition ship, the Aurora, sailed at midnight. She will call at Sheerness to adjust her compass. The vessel will be coaled at Cardiff. The dogs-have been safely shipped. Lieutenant M&inniss (assistant surveyor), and Dr. Mertz (geologist) are the olny members sailing by the Aurora. The officers and crew number twen-ty-five, under Lieutenant Walkin. Professor Bickerton will sail from China with an aeroplane, which has been severely tested at Brooklands. The tests were, highly satisfactory.
