Fires wore started at several points in the city of Stainboul, and two square miles havo been devastated. | Five thousand houses havo been destroyed. . The damage is estimated at £2,000,000. ! I The residences of the Ministers of j War and Finance escaped, but in the 1 General Staff' buildings, a burning ! beam fell on Skevet Pasha. I Twelve alleged political incendiaries j wero arrested.
