The Wellington Racing Club's Winter Mooting was 'brought to a closo with a gocd day's sport. The racing throughout was very interesting, 'and Eoixio very good finishes were witnessed. The Steeplechase provid- 1 cd a good contest, Corazon winning rather easily. The -totalicator invest'tnonto for the day were £2O, /45, making a grand total of £58,018, compared with £34,203 10c for the last -winter meeting. Hector Gray now heads tho lict of winning mounts his total being 79, Whittaker being second with 77. Results: — Onslow Handicap, of 110 sovS., .six furlongs.— Longstep 9.5, 1; Morecombo 10.4, 2; Bracket 9.11, 3. Also started — Dogger Bank, Flitaway, Mon Ami, British Maid, Silkweb, Clem.
