EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety ana <Jo., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Eketahuna. on Friday, 21st July. We yarded only a medium entry of both sheep and cattle, sheep showing a decided improvement on last sale. Cattle also were on the rise. Entries did not come in, up to advertised numbers. We quote Two-tooth to f.m. ew is to lis; good mixed hoggets to 10s 3d; gootj dairy cows, £5 10s to £6; springing heifers to £6 ss; old cows £2 15s; weaner bulls 10s; weaairs, 275; horses, to £9. IMPORTANT UNRESERVED SALE. purebred and" HIGH-GRAKE HOLSTEIN CATTLE.
The auctioneers wash to draw the special attention; of dairy farms ts •and fanciers of Holsteih-Friasian cattle to the unreserved sale which is being held on account of Mr Chas. Hopping, at his homestead, Glen Oroua, on- Wednesday, the '/6 th. inst. The 64 high-grade Holsre'n dairy cows, to be offered are youug, and include a large number of Aagust calyers. The, cows are, in ex?*lleat condition, calving dates will lie guaranteed, and they will be sold (without reserve. The six grade HolBifcein heifers in milk, . which have lately been imported from Sydn°v, will -be submitted to auction subject to a slight reserve. The pedigree ibulla, which will also be offered sub--7 9 I jeot to a slight reserve, include several bred by the vendor, and others bred by W. I. Lovelock, Newton King, and State Farm, Levin. There are. also a number of Grade Holstein bulls, theifers, fat cows, sheep, etc., all of which will be sold absolutely without reserve. For the convenience of buyers a drag will leave the auctioneers' office at 9.30 a.m.
