Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast : The' barameto: pressure has -itlocreased everywhere toVlav, with increasing easterly and northerly winds, and ja. moderate gale at Cape Brett being .reported from Russell' this morning and evening. Light Tain has fallen at times in pants ( northward of Gisborne and Raglan, but fin© weather has continued genr erally. ■ > Present, indications are for a fall- J ang (barometer everywhere, ,with easrfe<wiy and northerly winds, increasing ' strong to gale: A aitarm area on the Tasman Sea is still imminent, but with the delay is probably decreasing on the edge of the anti-cyolonio storm now passing eastward. Increasing haze and cloudiness will probably be followed by rain in all parts of the country.
