WELLINGTON WINTER MEETING. By Telegraph — Press Association. WELLINGTON", Last Night. The second day of the Wellington Racing Club's winteer meeting opened in glorious weather. Hie going was soft, but the times recorded were an improvement on Saturday's. The the Steeplechase was very fine, and was in striking contrast to that in the Vittoria Hurdles. The totalisator investments for the day were £20,577, against £14,179 10s for the corresponding day last year. Results:—
Glasgow Handicap, of 110 sots., five furlongs.— Morecombe 9.8, 1; T& Kahurangi 9.3, 2; Dogger Bank 10.2, 3. Also started— Bracken, Longstep, Mon Ami, Toanga, British Maid, Merry Frank, Silkweb, Afterthought, Royal Marine, Hirini. Morecom.be went to the front on entering the. straight, and had no difficulty in winning by a neck. Time Imin. 6 3-ssec. ' '
Karori Handicap, of 100 sovs., six furlsngs— Undecided 10.8, 1; Sandy raul 9.8, 2; Odessa, 9.6, 3. Also started.— Gold Circle, Somersault, Black Reef, Eva, Yite-, Foreshot, Field Fare. Undecided put in a good run, and won by a nose. Time, limin. 23sec.
Victoria Hurdle Handicap, of 100 sovs., on© mile and three-quarters.— Waterworks 10.9, 1; Fond Memory 9.0, 2; Wirihana 9.0, 3. Also started— Kremlin, Whites/tone-, Egypt, Jim. The placed horses were the only finishers, the rest of the field coming to grief. Time, 3min. 33 l-< 5 sec.
WELLINGTON STEEPLECHASE, of 500 sovs., about three miles and a quarter.— ■■ Hoanga, 9.8 1 Paritutu, 9.13 2 Pleiades, 9.10 3
Also .started.— Xavier, Sunray, Rosegrove, Ribstone Pippin. Hoanga went to the front from the .start, and was never headed. Paritutu was a close companion of Hoanga's all the way, but could not get dm front. Hoanga won by two lengths, Pleiades fifty yards away third. Time, 7min'. l-ssec Waterloo Handicap, of 200 sovs., seven furlongs.— Kilosteri. 9.0, 1; Peary 9.0, 2; Waipunui 9.8, 3. Also started— Full Rate, Wauchope, Sir Frisco, Flitaway, Negative, Projectile, Meroze, Ariom, Iney, Epsom Lass, Eclogue, First Consul, Spl ~ hj, Turna. Peary led the field into 'i© straight, Kilosteri supplanting Lim on the post. Time, lmin. 37 2-5 ■sec.

Native took the lead on entering the (straight, and worn comfortably by a length and a half. Time, 2min I 50seo.
Thorndom Handicap, of 100 sovs., five furlongs.— Taft 9.7, 1; Kingswell 9.0, 2; Lady Mildred 9.0, 3. Also started— Seaweed, Varna,' Ahuapai, Kina, Axis, Lady Fran, Big Blast, Septimus, -St. Gait, Optimeforan, Emma, Te Waharoa, Inveran.', Maungarara. Taft led from the start, and <won by two lengftibs. Time, lmin, 9sec.
