ALLEGED SERIES OF THEFTS.

WELLINGTON,, Last Niglit. An extensive series of alleged thefts from warehouses will be inrestigated an the Court next week. Today Allan Lee* a bonded storeman for Messrs W. and G. Turnbull, Alfred Smith (a carrier), his (brother Bertie Smith (a storekeeper), and Ernest Ohas. Gregory, an, understoreman for Messrs A. S. Paterson and Co., were •charged with stealing and receiving goods valued at about £l3O, the property of the two firms named. The prosecution alleged that the accused connived together to rob the warehouses in question. All the accused were remanded till the 26th July, on substantial bail.
