- ■» —• THIRD MONTHLi CONCERT. Mr J. B. McKonzis was the presiding director at the third monthly concert held last night in Murray'® Hall, under the auspices of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society. The hall was crowded with an appreciative audience, and the following excellent programme was submitted: —Overture, "The Home Coming," (J. T., Paull), Thompsons-Payne Orchestra ;, song, "Peg Away," Mr Allan Watson; recitation, "Peter's Pussies' Party," Miss Mavis Rive; ' musical monologue, "Facing.Trouble," Miss Nellie Hogg; Bong. "The Minstrel Boy/' Master Stephen Bishop; song, "Within a Mile of Edinburgh Town," Mrs Anderson; recitation, "The. Child's Troubles, - ' Miss Stella, Cairns; Scotch dance, (Schjantrauas), Mr Rod. Mcßae; highland fling, Miss Myrtle Pauling; song, ''Three for Jack,"' (encore, "As Deep as the Deep Blue Sea"), Mr W. Iggulden; song, "Ye Banks and Braes," Miss Mavis Miller; monologue, "A few Imitations," Mr 'P. L; Gully; song, "Dear Little Shamrock," Mr J. Elder; "Hans and Gretchen," (encored), Master Hector Bishop; song, "The Aula Scotch Sangs," (encored), Mrs D. Ogilvy; recitation, "Father Carved the Goose," Moss Clemmie Mackay; song, "Aflsa Mine." Mr C. Wilson; song, "TKe Landlord's Daughter," (encore, "Father O'Flynn") Mr E. L. Lees; Irish Jig, Mr Rod. Mcßae. Mr J. H. Pauling, who is responsible for the next "pleasant evening," has decided to have a - progressive euchre party and impromptu dance on Thursday, August 3i d.
