M STOMACH THES INDIGESTION !ause and Cure of a Troublesome Compia'nt, ■— *»■ II SufTerer who Cured Herseli rives her Experience for the Benefit of others. When the stomach gets into such a weakened condition that it is not able to readily digest food, the sufferer is said to have indigestion. This may take the form of burning pains in the stomach, even after a light meal ; belching of wind caused by the gases formed by the undigested food and sharp shooting pains as the wind approaches the heart. The stomach is unable to digest food because it is weak. Treatment which aims to make the stomach stronger is the proper treatment for indigestion. Invalid foods and pre-digested preparations fail to cure, because the stomach is not given its own work to do. The trouble is still there when ordinary food is taken. Purgatives do not help either; at the most they merely move the meal along. Stomach strength, therefore, is tlhe real cure for indigestion. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills have actually cured a great many of indigestion by toning the stomach to such a. point' Which enables it to do its own work. The intimate relation between the blood supply and the digestion is shown by the fact that indigestion is one of the commonest symptoms of bloodlessness. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills actually help to increase the blood supply, imparting tone and strength to the., whole body. Mrs E. Mann, Rowe Street, Onehunga, Auckland, suffered severely from indigestion, and cured herself with a course o'f Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. Her experience should help other sufferers. "I was always a strong healthy woman, but about two years since £ gradually found mv health failing, said Mrs Mann. "I became very subject to fits of vomiting. 1' had burning pains in my chest and shooting pains from my breast to my back. The only time I felt any ease was when J i ate nothing. The least atom of food I took upset my stomach. It was the same with everything I drank. I wa? always suffering from headaches and acidity of the stomach and belcliings of wind. I used to vomit a lot of sour acid water. I had a dull oppressive feeling about my heart. When lying down I had great difficulty in breathing, often having to sit up to catch my breath. I always had a nasty taste-in my motith. My head used to be so giddy at times that I.had to hold on to something to keep from falling. I suffered from sleeplessness. I consulted three chemists. Two gave me medicine without doing me good, and the other advised me to see a doctor. I read in a newspaper of a case very similar to mine being cured by Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and my husband agreed that it would be well to write company. They sent me instructions in regard to diet. I bought some Dr. Williams' Pink Pills from Mr Moody, Onehunga. I, took two boxes before I found them "doing me any good. Afterusing six boxes 1 felt thoroughly restored to good health. Tt is about six months since I ceased using the pills and I 'have not had the slightest return of the complaint. lam quite willing to answer any questions about them." • Dr. Williams' Pink Pills are sold by chemists and storekeepers, or sent by mail 7xlst paid on receipt of price. 3s per box, 6 boxes 16s 6d, by the Dr Williams' Medicine Co., of Australasia, Ltd., Wellington.* Phosphol is an emulsion of Cod Liver Oil with Uypophosphites, and is tbc- finest nerve, bone, fat and miianta builder Known. 0 Twenty years ago, when the customs duty was a uniform per centage ad valorem, the passing of the eutries was as easy as "falling off a log."
