CLEARING SALE OF DAIRY
STOCK, LETC.
Masses. Abraham and William S, Ltd., report having, conducted a most successful sale of dairy stock, implements, furniture, etc., on behalf of Mr E.. Wagstaff, at Pahiatua railway, on Friday, 14th inst. Buyers were present from 'the Manawatu /and Y/airarapa, as - well as the surwunding ■drstricts. There was sftirong' competition, for everything offered. The cows, numbering 39, were an. exceptionally good lot., most-of being off the Jersey and- Hblstoii cross, tihehighest price-realised,(being £l3 10s, and making the 'first-class average of £9 ss. Jerisey-Holstein heifers in calf Tea'lised £7 5s to £9 10s; 16 yearliii-g heifers, £3 19s 6d; young bulls, '2£ to guineas; Holstein bull, 12f (guineas ■;:sows in pig, 25s to £3 10s; Tiamworth boar, £3 j 'sa';' store pigs, 18s Sd-; wearier pigs, ( 6s; harness mare, £2lss. The implements, furniture, etc., made highly satisfaatory values. JVmfteen yearling Jersey cross heifers -sold on behalf of Mr G-. H. Su'isted, which were well grown and of flice quality, made £3 17s 6d. , 1
