Poole, M.P., in a pio- - sessional address at Pon&qnby, referring to the honour conferred on the Premier, said Sir Joseph Ward could not call himseli a democrat, any longer. He (Mr Poole) had no time for hereditary titles. He thought Sir .Joseph Ward had made' the bknder * of hie- lifetime in accepting a baronetcy. He thought we should have a "Hereditary Titles Preveittibn Bill." .As a matter of fact., he did not believe Sir Joseph Ward intended W- ' com© back and stay here. There .were all sorts of reports concerning other men, (but tine position was so mixed that everything seemed upside down.
