v WELLINGTON, Last Night. A deputation representing the Horowhequa Raoing Club waited on the Hon. Mr Buddo to-day to protest against.the proposed extinction, of the Club, &s recommended by the Racsktg .Commission. Mr Field, M.P., said the proposed extinction of the Club was a gross and wanton abuse. If (the Club was scuffed out, the exttSnotiott of the Horowheniua A. and P.s-Association would follow. Tlie Minister said the recommendations of the Commission Mere law, and would come into effect on August Ist. Mr Field thought it was posisiible, knowing as he did the temper, of the House, that every other Racing dub in New Zealand might find itself without a iotalisator or a -bookmaker after this.
