THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.
Despite, couutfcer attraction.*, there I was a large attendance at the {West- i i'ers' Hall last evening, to witness the | current programme of pictures. The dramatic portion of the 'bill-of-:fare was up to the firm's usual" high standard, the popular sttradiosibeing "The Gambler's Charira" (a story of the W«st),' "JPidjer.', volk" (a romanitio Bio Co. tale), and "My Daughter." In; comedy drama there were • some - excellent ■; pictures, "The Double ?Elc^emen*i^; Stoops to ■ Con-: jqu^^ , : Bi 'Tramp, Cyclist"; causing screaihsi' of * laughter. .''The seenics, (too, were good, the best being in Switzerland." Two particularly interesting pictures were "The Germination of Plants." and "The Manufacture of Gas Mantles." .A number of -other very acceptable vpictures were screened. The usual children 's matinee will take place, this afternoon, and the programme will be .shown for the last itime tonight. ~;
