PROPOSED STATUE AT WELLING- , ■ TON. ' ' (Received Last Night, 10.40 o'clock.) | V July 14 | Sir Frederick Young, Vice-President I of the Royal Colonial Institute, has organised a committee, including Lords Onslow, Glasgow, and Ranfuriy, formerly Governors of New Zealand, to erect a statue to the late Mr Edward Gibbon Wakefield at Wellington. / Sir' Joseph Ward has expressed sympathy with the proposal of Sir Frederick Young, and hopes that the New Zealand Government will co-oper-i ate.
