AN OVER-ZEALOUS OFFICER.
SPANISH GOVERNMENT EXPLAINS. (Received Last Night, 10.45 o'clock.) LONTJON, July 14. The Times' Madrid correspondent states that Colonel Sylvester, the Spanish officer commanding Alcazar, was over-zealous when he made a demonstration in the direction of Wagan. The Spanish Government has assured France that Colonel Sylvester has been ordered not to cross the river Lucus.
FRENCH- SERVANT ARRESTED
(Received Last Night, 10.45 o'clock.) FEZ, July 14. General Monier has sailed from Rabat, for Casablanca. ' A servant of the / French Consul at Alcazar camp was arrested at the door of his master's house and forcibly conducted to the Spanish camp. The Consul has been unable to secure his release.
