ANOTHER CRAZE.
Woman is a victim to fashion. She does not quite know the reason why. But there it is. She will yield to the most absurd demands, because they are fasliionabie. The hobble skirt has just about seen its day. The harem skirt has been laughed off the public thoroughfares. But another craze" has arisen. This time it takes the form of an anklet. A millionaire's daughter, was discovered at a Chicago ball recently, wearing an anklet 1 of gold. The news spread' like wildfire. The newspapers were full of it. The jewellers' .shops were rushed for anklets. This is how history is made, and the destiny of nations in general and women in particular is arranged. Why did Cleopatra wear fine linen and jewels?
