TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST, By Telegraph — Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Offico this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer has Had a falling tendency everywhere, but under the influence of a second area of low pressure the advancing .winds have moderated, and the rainfall decreased. To-day, northerly winds moderate to strong have prevailed in the Far North; easterly thence to Cook Strait, and variable winds elsewhere. Present indications 'are for cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain in most part's of the counjtry. The winds, are variable, but probably will back into north and west after about twenty hours, when a further fall in the barometer is due to take place.
