NEW ZEALAND FORECAST, By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Offico this evening issued the following summary and forecast:— A change an the conditions has taken place, gloomy and damp weather extending over the no, mil . :OJl . Kaui fell heav'iy in parts on Sunday .and to-day. Increasing northerly and westerly winds predominated, but a change to southerly southwards of Cook Strait during Sunday night. Present indications are for a spell of unsettled and -stormy weather generally. .Heavy rain and flooded rivens -in many parts, and snow on higher levels, Variable winds, strong to gale, expected. Northerlies prevailing in the North, and south-east-erlies for a time in the South. The barometer will probably fall everywhere after a slight temporary rise in the South. ;
