THE KING IN IRELAND.
[To The Editor.! Sir, —Are we, in New Zealand, loyal subjects of the King? I am led .to ask this, question in consequence of the reports which have »come to hand of the insult offered His 'Majesty by the Irish. Nationalists, whose envoys we liave> recently been slobbering over in. this ioni. Any true Britisher would be ashamed .to identify himself with people who would insult the Crown by refusing .tike King an official welcome. Are we loyal? Or, am we merely worms of the earth, wriggling into any convenient corner so long a<» it suits our purpose for the time 'being?—l a.m, etc., JOHN BULL. Masterton, July 10th, 1911.
