DISASTROUS BUSH FIRES.
HOT WEATHER IN THE STATES. (Received July 4, 12.50 p.m. VANCOUVER, July 3. Fierce bush fires in the Cobalt mining region of Ontario destroyed several camps. It is believed that fatalities' have occurred. The weather is hot and dry. HEAVY DEATH LIST. (Received July 4, 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 3. -To-day is the hottest of the year, following two days of sweltering heat. It is estimated that four hundred thousand people slept on Coney Island sands in an effort to keep cool. '•• The death list owing to the heat is heavy throughout the Eastern and Middle States.
