THE ELECTORAL CENSUS.

Very complete arrangements have been, made for the taking of the electoral census in the cities and larger towns of the Dominion. Brae-

tically mo provision has, however, been made for tihe enrolment of electors in the country districts. It is clearly to he iseen,, threefore, how the political cat is jumping. The Government is .scrupulously mindful of tilie town vote, but so far as the country is concerned, it can "go bang." And yet we have the spectacle presented of Ministers travelling the country districts and trying to convince isettlers that the Government is the sincere /friend of the man upon the land. Away with such humbug!
