BRISBANE, July 2, There was fine weather, and an attendance of six thousand to witness the League match between Queensland and New Zealand yesterday. The opening stages of the match favoured Queensland.. The New Zealanders, who were lacking in combination, were kept defending for the | first teai minutes. They played into form, however, and towards the close of the first spell showed splendid forward combination. Their passing and. dribbling rushes completely beat Queensland. Infringements of the rules lost .the visitors several tries. The second half of the game wm very fast and exciting, and free from roughness.
