POWDER EXPLOSION.
FREICHT TRAIN DERAILED. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) NEW YORK, July 1, A car-load of powder, standing in a tunnel on the Southern Pacific railroad, near San Francisco, exploded, derailing an approaching freight train. Many of the train's orew were injured. The tunnel was wrecked.
