The Rev. H. Watson, vicar of St. Matthew's, Masterton, has been appointed a chaplain to the Bishop of Wellington. T. Proctor and A. H. Wrightson, of Masterton, and H. A. Nevins, of Tinui, have been elected Synodsmen of the Wellington Anglican Diocese. The Rev. F. W. Isitt, Organising Secretary of the New Zealand Alliance, was among those present at the Nc-License meeting in Masterten last night. r = Mr and Mrs P. Jorgensen, accompanied by Mr George Spackman, leave Masterton this morning for Sydney and Melbourne. Mrs Jorgensen has been ordered away by her medical adviser. The trip will probably occupy two months

: At St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Wanganui, Miss Ada Margaret Dickson was, on Wednesday last, married to Mr John Robert Cade, a popular official of the Public Works Department. The bride was dressed, in a magnificent charteiise silk gown, trimmed with pearls, and was attended by Miss Ethel Dickson, sister of the bride; and Miss Annie >Cade, sister of the bridegroom, who were becomingly attired in blue silk. Messrs Cunningham and Harper attended the bridegroom.. The church was filled with well-wishers for the future happiness of theryoung copule. A large number of guests were subsequently entertained by the;parents at their residence, "Awatca," and the usual toasts were duly proposed and honoured. The bride.is well and popularly known in Masterton, and is a neice of the late Mr Peter Dickson, who is affectionately remembered by a large number of Masterton residents.
