WHOLESALE CALUMNY.
The Hon. G. Fowlds told the Stratford liberal League the other day that the Ministry are suffering from "a campaign of wholesale calumny and vilification on the part of the Opposition leaders." As Mr Fowlds did not cite any specific case in which calumny a.nd vilification have been resorted to, lies statement can only bo described as the utterly mistaken discovery of a diseased imagination. The "Liberal" aristocracy of New Zealand -wall next be describing ais calumny the congratulations of their friends upon the numerous titles they have been able to squeeze out of the "lib-Laib." profession!
