JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph—Special to the Age.) JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A heavy yarding of exceptionally prime quality bullocks came forward and sold readily at good prices. There was a full yarding of sheep and these also were in good demand We quote:—Prime heavy bullocks, £ll to £ll 7s 6d, and £lO os to £lO 10s; lighter bullocks, £9 5s to £9 10s; light, £8 to £8 17s 6d; vealers, £2 6s to £2 19s; good .quality wethers, £18; plain wethers, los 6d; extra prime heavy ewes, 18s.to £1 0s 9d; prime ewes, 15s 6d to 15s 9d; plain ewes, 13s Id to 14s ; good lambs. 10s 6d to lis Id. STOCK DISPERSAL SALii. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PEILDING, Last Night. A dispersal sale of the late Mr G., C. Wheeler's Romney Sheep and Hereford cattle, commenced here today, when 900 stud rams and e.. .3 were offered. Buyers were present from all over New Zealand and from Australia. Bidding was extremely brisk all day. The sale was the most successful of its kind ever known in the Dominion. The highest-price paid was for th \ ram "Freeholder 13," for which W. F. Jacob paid lOOgns. Quite a number of rams went over. sC|gns. Ewes brought from 4 to 25gns, the latter price being paid each for two to go to Australia, where a fair proportion of the whole sheep will go. The I Herefords will be sold to-morrow. MASTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, | Ltd., report on their Masterton stock I sale held at the Solway yards yester- » day, as follows:—We only offered a ) small yarding comprising half a dozen 1 pens of store sheep and two pens of | fats, also a couple of pens of cattle ' including at line of good conditioned bullocks. The attendance was limited, and business at auction dull. Wle however, made a complete clearance. Aged bullocks, in forward condition, £6 17s 6d; good conditioned wethers, 12s to 13s Id; forward ewes, 9s 7d to' 10s 6d; store ewes, os; good condi- . tioned hoggets,-8s to 10s 6d; for an extra good line of well-wdolled sheep; fat ewes, 13s 7d; fat wethers, small and light, 14s 6d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: —We offered a yarding of sheep well above advertised numbers, and are pleased to report "haying had a good sale, only one lot going out unsold. The entry was principally ewes in lamb, but i rmpetition bein£ keener than of late sales, vendors were well satisfied. There was also good competition for fat ewes and forward ewes. We quote as follows r—Fat ewes, 12s 2d, 13s 2d to 15s; s.m. ewes in lamb, to 12s; full mouth ewes, in lamb, 7s 8d to 8s Id; empty fcft-ward ewes, 9s Id, 9s lOd, to 9s lid; poor conditioned ewes in lamb, to ss. Th© New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows : —We offered an average list of sheep of good quality, but no fats, and made a clearance with a sound market. ewes made 10s 8d; wethers, small, lis 8d; lambs, medium, 7s Bd.
