SYDNEY SHEEP SHOW
STANDARD OF ENTRIES MAINTAINED SEVERAL SUCCESSFUL NEW ZEALANDERS. (Received Last Night, 8.15 o'clock.) SYDNEY, June 28. Tho entries for the Sheepbreeders' Show, which precedes the annual sales, were well maintained, both in quality and number. Tasmania exhibitors swept the board in the unhoused merino section. New South Wales breeders were the most successful in the housed classes in British breeds. Mr Studholme, of Canterbury, took first prize in Romney Mar.sh under eighteen months. Mr J. Dowthwaite, of Canterbury, annexed most prizes in Border Lc..esters. He took first and second in ea Ji case for rams over two years, under two years, and under 18 months, ewes under two years and under 18 months. Mr Dowthwaite also exhibited the champion ram and champion ewe over two years. Mr J. Nixon, of Canterbury, secured three third prizes in Border Leicester. In English Leicesters Mr Nixon took first and champion and second, for ram two years, second and ,third for ram under two years., second for ram under 18 months, and first and champion for ewe two years, second and third for ewe under two years, and third for ewe under 18 months.
