Primrose Deloraine.
By MAISIE PENDENNIS. Author of " Sir Reginald's Whim,"; "The Forgotten Heir," Rival Beauties," etc.
THE MISER'S DAUGHTER.
This is certainly a story of gripping character, which demands the-atten-tion from the start. The heroine, immediately after the death of her natural protector, is beset by dire troubles, and is confronted by a despicable foe who determines to bend her to his will. Fortunately she has a staunch friend in a young fellow of strange caprices, sound at heart, but given to peculiarities not sanctioned by law. The plot is clever and ingenious, and the characters are set forth wi*h the masterly touches of a practised hand., A perusal of the opening instalment, which will appear in THURSDAY MORNING'S ISSUE will convince the reader that he is about to enjoy an extremely delightful, romance.
