Fowlds w'-o is visiting Taranaki on Departmo- :-.l business, delivered a political address in the Town- Hall to-night, at the invitation of thelocal Liberal League, receiving a good hearing. ', ' The Minister dealt with the general policy Of the Government, and do- ' fended \the legislation of the > present administration. He decried what he described as a campaign of wholesale calumny and villification on the part of Opposition leaders. Touching on educational matters, the Minister paid a high compliment to the Stratford High School, which lie hold up as a pattern to the district schools of the Dominion. The Minister was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence, and_was afterwards entertained at supper by the School Committee,
