They asked that*, the*. *Clu!b at least be given an opportunity of reducing its liability, and that next year's Marton Club races be run at Bulls, the proceeds to go to the Bmigitibei Club. Mr Buddo said he bad considerable difficulty in commanding, on the Oommission's report, as it had again gone before the Crown Law advisers, to see if it was in" conformity With the Act. He thought he would have .to follow the recommendations of the Commission, as the. Act wais practically mandatory, but lie would obtain advice to see if it could im--j pose any conditions.
