TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office this evening issued the following summary and forecast : The barometer has fallen in the northerhfnost districts, but has risen considerably in the south. Bain has fallen: in the northern and southern,most districts, and in parts Cold and changeable weather has been experienced generally. Strong easterly winds have prevailed northward of East Cape and Kawhia, and i moderate southerly winds elsewhere. Present indications are for rain, with easterly winds, strong to gale, northward of Gisborne and Kawhia, but moderate to strong southerly winds and cold and changeable weather elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall slowly in the north, but high pressure will probably prevail everywhere shortly.
