The Queensland sugar strikers' representatives in Sydney are organising assistance for the men on strike. They state that five thousand field and mall hands aire affected. It is estimated that another five thousand men on the Southern sugar fields will shortly he involved. POLICE. (Received .Tune 26, 9.40 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, June 25. Owing to the strike, the police armed with cadbimas are watching tlhe departure of vessels. THE SEAMEN'S STRIKE. (Received June 26, 9.40 a.an.) LONDON, June 25. Mr Havelock Wilson, i&eareta-y to the Seamen's Union, alleges- thai indignation exists on the part of tihe members of the Union at the action of .the Admiralty in .chartering several slhipiS, manned wditih Lascar crews, for conveying guests to tlhe naval- review at Portsmouth. Two Australian niembeirs of Parliamemt informed the Sailors' Union that if /the iships -were manned by coolie or ©wis they would not go on board.
