Personally, and as ifejor, he regretted til© circumstances wflideh necessitated his being c-alled upon to perform'-his present duty, because' it meant the loss of one of their good citizens and a supporter of various instdtutoras of the town. Both Mr and Mr® Gtalwey would be. greatly missed by the town, in the social and general welfare' of which they liiad always- displayed a- keern interest. It would be better for the town if it had mjore people like them. He had no doubt Mr Galwey'® successor (Mr Hodgkins) ; would take up the running in that respect. Their children.' had ibeeai all; feel the vcrenoh of parting, » wliich washard, to give expression to. The. town luid passed through a period of depression, and. there was now everywhere signs of its' recovery. In.
