ALBANIAN TROUBLE
SITUATION BECOMING THREATENING. TORGUT VIOLATES THE ARMISTICE. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) VIENNA, June 24. The situation in Albania is becoming threatening. It is stated that Torgut, under the semblance of offering an amnesty and an armistice, is gathering forces in readiness to deliver a crushing blow. He had already violated the armistice, and is now destroying fruit tiees and vines, and killing sheep and cattle, hoping thereby to compel Malissori, after peace, to emigrate or die of hunger, the intention being to force him to a colonial country with the Mussulman immigrants. -Newspapers declare that unless the Powers promptly intervene for the protection of the Christian races, Macedonia will shortly be transformed into a shambles. POSITION IMPROVING. (Received Last Night, 5.5- o'clock.) CONSTANTINOPLE, June 24. Torgut Skevat Pasha reports that Malissori has begun to surrender. The position is improving.
