, EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.j report having held their usual fort- , nightly stock sale yesterday. Owing to the boisterous weather experienced during the last couple of days, entries did not come tip tp, advertised numbers. The '■yarding of sheep -con'-, sisted chiefly of ewes and wethers, which met with a dragging sale under the hammer. However, we effected practically a total clearance before the day closed. *" We quote: Sheep— Mixed age breeding ewes, 8s 9d to 10s, for best sorts, poorer sorts, ss, 6s 9dj to 7s Id ; 2-th wethers, 10s to 10s 7d. Cattle —Springing heifers, £7, store cows, 25s to £2 6s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Eketahuna yesterday, when they submitted a fair yarding of sheep to a fair attendance of buyers. Sheep came forward well to advertised numbers, but no cattle. However, they made a.total clearance with the ex-; caption'of one pen of values being in advance of last sates, t A nice line of wethers,' on account John Cross, senr., Alfredton, made 12s 7d. Quotations: 2-tooth wethers, 12s to 12s 7d; fat and forward ewes, 9s 6d to 10s; 2 and 4 tooth ewes, iin lamb, 9s 6d to 10s; s.'nu ewes in lamb, 7s Id to 8s 9d; shorn lambs, 4s lOd to 5s Bd.
