Patrons of the "noble art's should be well pleased with the very excellent contests arranged by the Masterton Boxing Olub for their. tournament of Wednesday next, at the Towin Hall. The men engaged- in the principal, items include the cleverest boxers in New Zealand, and guarantee a capital evening's sport. Fired Kerr, the feather-weight champion, will have to go all the way to defeat his sturdy opponent, Bert. Treweek, who has designs on the "blue ribbon" of the Ddininioai, and this contest should produce some of the smartest fighting ever seen in Masterton. Much interest has- been aroused locally in the FergussomBarr match, since the Masterton.Lad' has showh such marked improvement, a,nd is confident of keeping the clever little Hawke's Bay champion busy for five rounds. Murphy, of Wellington, and Miakmey, of Masterton, are billed for a five-round professional bout, which should be J '"well worth seeing.
