AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE.
At a function, held in Palmerston North this, week, Mr J. G. Harkness, Secretary of the National Dairy Association, stated that the time was not far distant wihen. the Government of the Dominion would see the necessity for esitahlishing a College for the purpose of educating the people in the methods of preparing and handling produce. Such a College has been spoken of for years- by successive Ministers, but no movement has been made in the direction, of making such an institution an, accomplished fact. Some day the. Minister for Agriculture will be brought to realise, that he is lavishing on useless, experiments money wliidh might be more profitably employed in imparting agricultural instruction at a well-equipped, College.
