THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. Another large audience was- present last evening at the Foresters'. r Hail, to witness the screening of ,tihe ' current pnogramime. The bill-of-fare is such that all tastes: will find something to please. The favourite of an excellent series of dramas was- "The Link that Held," a domestic drama of the Edison Company, in which Miss Mabel Trunelle takes the leading role. "Rachael," a tale of oppression in Russia, was an interesting study, with Miss Alice Joyce as the chief character. That popular little actress, Miss Dorothy Nicholson, was seen to advantage in an 18. drama, "The Three Sisters." "Miss Flora- and her Troupe" was a clever acrobatic turn which evoked loud applause. A fine military drama, was entitled "A Brother's Redemption." "Pigs is Pigs" and "Kelly off to the country" were screaming comedies. A number of other very acceptable pictures uwe shown. The programme will be-repeated for the last, time -.to-night. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday Messrs Thompson- and Payne- .-will present the greatest bushranging picture ever ©reduced, viz., "The Life of Ben Hall," illustrating sen- . ratioiio-l 'ihcidentiß. in: the' e#a'jjy7,dayjSj ; ; of Australia, and vividly pourtraying the career of the most daring and notoriotis of bushrangers.
