Sir,—ln your issue of the 17 th inst. you .bring under the notice of your readers the fact- that a copy of the petition prepared by Mr Liddell Relby, for the release of Lionel Terry, is at your ♦office, for those who are in favour to isign it. L have been asked to write to you, asking if there is a possibility of a copy being forwarded to our district, as* it is hard for most of the inliabitants to reach your office in office hours. I would suggest tlhat tlhey he forwarded to the iscthool-iinaster of mot only this district, but of all the country schools throughout New Zealand, thereby en.abliiiig ail those desirous of attaching;' their names- to do so. I feel safe to say that if this were done it would he til© means of having hundreds ofi names more ttfian. if left at the offices of the daily papers of the Dominion. —1 am, etc.,
