The butter and cheese exhibits at the Winter Show were judged today. * Hie Levin and Cheltenham Companies tie for (tilie points prize in the New Zealand Butter Championship, under the auspices of the National Dairy Association, with 187 points. The Bumiytlhorpe Company oame next with 186 points. Hie results of the butter classes aro as follow:
Class I.—Box of best export butter : Cheltenham, Dairy Co., 90 points, 1; Glen Qroua, Kairanga, Levin, Raetahi and Stratford Dairy Companies, each second, .with 93* points. Class 2.—Best box of export butter .open- to any factory or manager thftt.h'&s not won a proze of £5 : Apitd Dairy Factory, 94, 1; Raetihi Dairy Co., 93|, 2; Tekorangi Dairy Company* 93, 3. o'- ■ Class 3.—Best box of export butter, open to any maaiager who lias not won a prize at the National Dairy Show :Tekorangi Dairy Company, 94, 1; Ureti Dairy Company, 934, 2; Raetihi Dairy Company, 93, 3.
Class 4.-'-Best box of export butter ; open only to members of ifj& New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association. Cheltenham Dairy Oomjpany, 95; Kairanga Dairy Company, 944 ; Ballance Dairy Company (Kononi) 94; Apiti Dairy Company 93J. Class s.—Factory butter from bulk.—Best box of export butter: Bunnythorpe Dairy Company, 94; Apiti Dairy Company 934; Defiance Dairy Company and Kairanga Dairy Company 93 each. Class 6. Bnnnyithorpe Dairy Company, 94; Levin Dairy. Company .934,;' Dairy,.Company, 93 point®. CHEESE CLASSES, In' the cheese classes, the Dalefield factory won coloured cheddar (shaped), with 94 i- points; Taratahi, 94. White ciheddar (shaped).—Kapotiga Dairy Company -1 and 2, 934. Dalefield won the New Zealand Shipping Oompany'is Challenge Cup for tilia highest points in either class. Tararu a won the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association Challenge Gup for the best case of cheese with 94£ points. Ngaire Avon in the class for two fully-matured factory cheeses, with 954* points, Greyftown being second with 95. Kaponga, with 95 points, won inn the class for two best loaf cheeses.
