(Sir Eldon Gorst, C.8., ia a son of the Right Hon. S. John Gorst. He was born in New Zealand in 1861, and educated at Eton and Cambridge. He has been British. Agent and Consul-General in Egypt since 1907, and was for a number of years Financial Adviser to the Egyptian Government. From 1904 until 1907 he was Assistant Under-iSacre-tary of State for Foreign Affairs.)
