WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting ot" Directors j was held on Saturday, Mr J. B. Mc- ! Kenzde '(Vice-President) in the chair. Apologies were received from Messrs A. McLeod, J. H. Pauling, and J. Georgeson. Mr Alex. Turner 'wrote, tendering his resignation as- a Director, owing to his inability to attend the meetings. It was unanimously decided to elect Mi' Turner an honorary life Director in recognition of his past valuable services to the Society. A ballot was then taken, from the former unsuccessful candidates (seven, and Mr Alex. Oolie was declared duly elected a Director in place, of "Mr Turner. Report sw T ere from the Pipe Band, Ingleside, and Ladies' Committees, and adopted. Thirtynfour new members were elected, including five junior members, admitted under the resolution passed at the annual meeting, allowing membership to women, and to youths under 21, with limited privileges, for 10s a year.
It was decided that the Ground Committee (the whole of the Directors) meet at the Drill Hall on Wednesday night, at .8 o'clock, to prepare the Hall for the Ingleside.
