The inspiriting little interview with a journalistic visitor to Masterton published in another column should have a wholesome effect. The climate and potentialities of the place have appealed to the poetic nature of our friend, and although we may not deserve all the good things said concerning us, there is an element of commonisense and appreciation about the interview which should stimulate the feeling of optimism with which all true citizens should be imbued. All the elements which go to make it such are here, a.nd townsmen have themselves alone to blame if the most sanguine anticipations are not realised.
