MARTINBOROUGH BOWLING CLUB.
(From a Special Correspondent.) The annual social and preseoirtatiom of prizes took place in the Town Hall, Mantinborough, on Thursday night. There were between. 50 and 60 couples present. Music was provided by Ma 4 McKenzie's orchestra (of •Mastarton). A case of pipes was presented to the secretary, Mi- H. Lawrson, for his enthusiasm and hajrd work during the past season. Messrs M. R. Smith and A. Nicoll were presented with silver buckles, given by Mr A. D. McLeod; Mr A. I). McLeod a set of howls, for clampioii singles in the tournament; Messrs McGregor, Wirigjht, Disk.and Mjinson with the feathers for champion rink. The .floor was in capital order, attS the dancing was very enjoyable. The M.'sC. carired out their duties very satisfactorily. An excellent supper was provided in the long room at the .side of the ha'll. The. gathering broke up at about 2 o'clock,, after a very enjoyable evening.
