Mr J). McLaren, M.P., was a visitor to Masterton last night.

Mr D. Buick, M.P., of Palmerston

North, has recovered from his recent somewhat severe illness. The Hon. T. Mackenzie will be present at the Palmerston winter show next week. ( The Commandant of the Forces (Major-General Godley, C.8.), has returned to Wellington from a tour of the East Coast and Thames districts.

Dr. A. L. Napier—Maclean, the well-known referee of, boxing, will have clfarge of the six contests at the coming tournament at the Town Hall. Masterton.

Mr Thos Wagg is expected to return to Masterton from Sydney next week. • ■ . •

'Messrs F. W. Carey and J. B. Moodie will represent the Masterton Chamber of Commerce at the conference of the North Island Railway League, to he held in Palmerston North next week.
