WELLINGTON, T,ast Njght. At the N.Z. Alliance Convention to-day, Mr N. J. MSDanmofet, of Auckland, read a paper on "Demonstrations," and a resolution was pass-" ed urging tlhe maiuguration of processions and open-air services. It was also decided to recommend a pledge-signing campaign, and in appreciation of the services rendered by Mr A. S. Adams in replying to Professor Saimond's pamphlet. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr Wesley Spragg (Auckland), Vice-President, Mr A. S. Adams (Dunedin); Secretary, Rev. John Dawson (Wellington); General Organiser, Rev. F. W. Isitf (Wellington). Executive and consultative committees wei'B also set up. It was decided to hold the next Convention in Qinistchurch. 'JJhe Convention adopted a. scheme to raise not less than £25,000 as a "Silver Jiubilee Thanksgiving Fund," and empowered the Executive to carry out details.
