WAIRARAPA HUNT.
SUCCESSFUL RUN AT GREYTOWN.
One of the most enjoyable ''runs" of the season, in connection with the Wninarapa Hunt took place at Greytown yesterday afternoon, over the property of Mi* J. Cotter. Although the,, godiig was- somewhat heavy some very*''good jumping was witnessed, and notwntfliistanding the coolness of the day one or two riders considered it necessary_ to still further cool themselves in one of the water jumps. The course laid out by the manager of Mr Cotter's estate was very fa.voura.bly commented on by those who took paat in the run. The hounds were in change of Mr Tas. Smith, who rode Hill Lass, and the way the pack ran indicated that they "were in very fine condition. Tlie drag was huid by Mr W. Bicknell on' Paddy, and Mr O. Bicknell on Soman. The hold was in charge of the Deputy Master, P. Tiison, on Cocaine, Mr F. B. Val-la-nce, on Necjra, acting ■' as Hon. Whip."' Among- others following were R. Mdiarein on Gret, C. Wil- ■ liams on Raven, E. Skeafc on Blue Bell, A. Watson, on Sylvia Maid. E. Warrington on' Tommy, J. Warrin<?tton,Go Go, 0. OadwaMader jir. on ' Viivasd, T. Tiinms 1 on Traylock, •W. Buekeridge on Ngakonua, and H. Skeet on Te Hoe. At the eonclunion of the /run afternoon tea was m-oviided by Mr Cottar. Before leaving Mr* Berno • Variance, on behalf of the visitors, returned thanks to Mr Cotter, and called for three cheers, wfluch were heartily given.
