' A.-wedfiing in which a great deal •of-local interest was centred took place in the Methodist Church a* , Kuripura Yesterday, when Mr August V. Srauson, eldest son of Mr J. .A. Swanson, of Masterton, was united ito Mos:: Laura Ellen Italph, sec- ■"*- ond daughter of Mrs .1. Ralph, ot Wesbport. * The bride, who was given awav by her brother, Mr A. ' Ralph, of* Martinhorough, was attired in a prettv navy tailor-made costume and a silver-grey hat tnmmed with white plumes, and carried a, shower houquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Tilv Swanson, (sister oi the bridegroom), and Miss »«£»*» Ralph (sister of the bnide): Bot" wore creme costumes and blacJs hats! with gold trimmings, and .' Wh also curried a shower bouquet. Mr W. Hi it" acted as best man, and " Mr C. Andrickseii as groomsman. The R°v J. E. parsons performed the ceremony, and Miss M. Burton played the Wedding Alaroli as tne nrddal party left- the church. A reception, wats afterwards neia at the residence of the bridegroom « parents, where a large number ot guests sat down to the wedduig breakfast, and the usual toast* ware honoured. . ~ Mr and Mrs A. V. Swanson left bv the afternoon train for ton, where the honeymoon is to be spent. A large number of-useful presents were received by the happy couple.
