JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph—Special to the Age.) JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: —A good yarding of bullocks, and a small one of sheep, came forward, and sold at late rates. Prime heavv bullocks realised £lO to £11; medium bullocks, £9 10s to £9 15s; lighter, £9 ss; extra prime wethers, £1 0s lid; prime wethers, 17s 3d to 17s 8d; prime ewes, 15s 8d; good ewes. 14s 5d to 14s 8d; lambs, lis 3d to 13s. MASTERTQN STOCK SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.; report as follows regarding yesterday's sale in the Solway yards:—Our first fat stock sale, held under the auspices of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held yesterday. The required number of sheep and cattle came forward, and some exceptionally good bullocks were penned. Probably owing to the inclement weather very few fat stock buyers attended, and bidding, especially for cattle, wac, .:ot brisk. Some good fat wethers forward, especially a pen of 50 offered on account of Mr "VV. Howard Booth, these bringing the satisfactory price of 17s. We also sold on account of Mr T. P. Lett light weight wethers at £lss Id. Store sheep were in slightly better demand, and came forward in excess of (advertised numbers. By the close of the sale we affected a total clearance, prices being as follows: —Woolly lambs, small, 6s to 6s 2d; store lambs, medium, up to 7s 4d; 2-tooth wethers, small, 7s lid to 8s 2d; fair sheep, up to lis 4d. A number of aged and inferior ewes were offered and sold from 4s id to 5s 4d. A line of 521 half-bred ewes , sold at Bs. Store cattle. —A small yarding met a dull market. Light heifer beef realised £5 ss; empty., cows, £3; fair weaners, 27s 6d. 1

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on their weekly sale as follows: —Stock came forward in fair average numbers, and the quality generally being good, we were enabled to effect a clearance, the market having a better tone: In cattle wo submitted both fat bullqeks and cows, and when the quality was good a ready market was obtained at firm rates. Only unfinished lots dragged. In mutton, small wethers made 14s 9d; ewes, lis to 12s; good store wethers, up to 13s; small stores, 10s. In lambs, bes.t sorts made 8s 9d; medium 7s 6d-; &mal), ss; culls, 3s 4d; 'very forward empty ewes, up to 9s. No breeding ewes offered. .Heavy fat cows made £7; light, £5; forward cows, £3 to £4; fat steers, sirs"; good, £8 3s.
